Jonathan and Megan are the sweet souls of this beautiful engagement session at Vickery Creek Falls Roswell Mill. The first time I met these two was with Megans family in December to go over wedding details for what is going to be a beautiful wedding in Destin, Florida this October. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding on the Bay! Megans mom, Carmen, texted me a couple of weeks ago and let me know that Megan was recently diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and it made me even more excited for these engagement pictures because we both knew it would be a perfect day to take her mind off of everything that has been going on lately with her diagnosis. Megan is such an warm-hearted and positive woman and I know she is going to take on this diagnosis with the most uplifting attitude and it truly makes you realize how precious life is and how important it is to surround yourself with people who lift you up, care deeply for you and allow you to care deeply for them. I could truly see the passion and endearment between Jonathan and Megan at their engagement session and how sweetly he cares for her. They brought along their sweet puppers that complete their little family as we explored the park and took in the sunshine, which was a nice break in all this rain we have had lately! Check out all of their love and sweetness below.

Headshots are always good to have around, whether you're a student, lawyer, actress or superstar extraordinaire. There will one day come a time when you wish you had a professional picture of yourself vs. a selfie on your smartphone. Headshots work just like any other session, the lighting needs to be just right, clear forecast and clean, crisp clothes.
I was asked last minute to shoot an event on Saturday morning for a brunch and bike ride that was happening in Dunwoody. For my non-Atlantans reading, it was storming big time and raining cats and dogs outside which does not make for ideal shooting. I worked through the rain but at the end was asked to take a few headshots of a new employee {of the company I was shooting for}. Of course, I was going to do this but I had to find a good place to shoot so last minute. Here are my tips for shooting last minute in overcast: - Find as much sun light as possible and if no sunlight is available then avoid shaded areas - Find a solid background to place your subject against or move them away from a busy background and shoot with a long range lens to allow for the background to drop out of focus (we shot behind the restaurant by the dumpster and the side of the restaurant in the bushes) - Turn your subject to about a 45 degree angle, very few people are fantastic from the front and I did not want a profile shot - I had my subject kneel down so I was shooting slightly down at him since he was taller than me which disguised anything messy in the background that I wanted to hide Once I had the right pictures that I wanted we wrapped it up and the new client was very pleased. If you would like to book your headshots today please email [email protected] and we can discuss pricing and scheduling. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Hello there my lovelies! I am so sorry I haven't been on the blog lately, I don't know what got into me but blogging was just not something I wanted to do and I think it had everything to do with moving, getting settled in Atlanta, getting a new schedule down with the photography and my daytime job. It take a lot of coordination to keep up with one schedule and let alone two and the schedules of all my clients, but I certainly wouldn't have it any other way. If I'm not super busy then you'll catch me on the couch watching a full day of bridal shows ;)
I have re-committed myself to blogging again and sharing the stories of the people I photograph. I get the opportunity to meet so many amazing people in this profession and I love showing others how amazing these people are. Up on the blog probably Wednesday will be an amazing Engagement Session of a beautiful couple in Piedmont Park. I will get to their story then, have a wonderful day and remember to keep smiling! |
