I have had the pleasure of working with these two lovebirds for several years starting with their engagement and wedding. One thing, out of many, that I love so much about photographing couples is that I meet them in the beginning stages of their relationship and I get the chance to experience major life events with them. While we were walking around the property where this maternity session took place I asked them if it was a boy or a girl. They responded that they didn't know because they didn't want to find out until the baby was born. That is something so rare in this day and age- just wanting to know that you have a healthy and happy baby instead of knowing the gender too. Watching these two grow in their love and appreciation for each other has been such a blessing to watch and now to see them as parents in the near future is such an honor.
I wish I could disclose this beautiful location but it is on private property in Atlanta, Georgia. I do have access to this property anytime if you would love to have your own session here too!

There's something about high school young love that is just so sweet. Claudia and Christian are about to start college in a couple of weeks and couldn't be more in love! Check out this sweet session at Roswell Mill Park in Roswell, Georgia.
I decided to try a little bit of a different edit on these images and I'm really loving it. I feel that this edit perfectly captures the mood of the day and the love between these two. Let me know what you think in the comments! A couple of months ago the lovely Brittney Ruff of Indigo Gypsy joined me for a morning session to test out the Hobby Lobby Challenge that has been hitting the web lately. It's aways fun to take a location that look ordinary and turn it into a beautiful spot for a photoshoot. I love doing these the of challenges and I am going to push myself to do more high fashion retro shoots - If you have an idea send me a message and let's see if we can make it happen! I knew when we got to Hobby Lobby that I wanted to push myself to get more than just the typical up close shots that I have seen from other photographers. I am really pleased with how these turned out! Let me know what you think in the comment section below and tell me what other ugly location I should shoot next. Hobby Lobby ChallengeAfter we finished up at Hobby Lobby we went back to her apartment and shot in the parking lot right outside and had a lot of fun with it. I think my favorite image from this collection is the black and white photo below - It has a really cool retro metallic vibe to it. Always look for the beauty in your surroundings and you will never be disappointed. Unusual Location - Apartment ComplexThis beautiful tall drink of water is Antonija. She wanted to celebrate her 31st birthday in the best way possible, a session with her best girl friends and boyfriend. The pink balloons were such a fun added kick to her shoot which took place in Dunwoody. Funny story about that... This bridge is between two office buildings off Ashford Dunwoody and I have always loved spending time here and reflecting. While were doing the shoot a security guard came up to us and said that we could only shoot there if we had permission from the owners of the buildings and that we needed to leave (this was news to me). We waited for the security guard to leave and continued to shoot (we only had a few shots left to get) and secretly continued to shoot. It was very amusing being so devilish! That's what I do for my clients though, risk it all for the shot! Anyways, I'm getting side tracked- as I say in many of my blog posts and to many of my clients, you need to celebrate you! Birthday celebrations and birthday photoshoots aren't only for kids!
Can you believe that this gorgeous woman was 8 months pregnant in these photos? I could talk about this woman for days, she is one of the most down to earth and sweetest souls you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. I have known these two for quit some time now, I went to college with Joseph, the husband, and when he started dating Kelley, the wife, I told him that she was a keeper and to never let her go. I have had the pleasure of photographing them for various occasions over the years and they never dissapoint!
This post is about a year late since their gorgeous little girl is about to turn a year old in a couple of months and I'll tell ya, what a beautiful baby girl she is! These two are great parents and are doing a amazing job at raising that little girl. On a different topic, I get questions all the time from my maternity clients on where to get their maternity dresses for their sessions without spending a boat load on them. We ordered this dress off Amazon, it was advertised as a formal gown but it had a really stretchy material that I knew it would cling perfectly to her baby bump. With the help of Amazon Prime I was able to order several dresses and see which one we liked the best and return the rest, and I think this dress was only $35 and we ordered a size SMALL! Link at the bottom of post to get this dress for yourself.
