Megan and Jonathan... two of the most salt of the earth people I have had the pleasure of getting to know through my photography business. I seriously am blessed with incredible clients all across the board. People ask me all the time to tell them horror stories from nightmare clients but I don't have any and I want to keep it that way, haha! Anyways, back to Megan and Jon; they knew they wanted an intimate beach or bayside wedding and fell in love with The Destin Bay House once they visited. I will forever be singing their praises to all future clients; I want to shoot at this venue a million more times, it will never get old!
After a relaxing morning sipping champagne with Megan, her mom and mother in law we were able to casually enjoy taking portraits by the water, soaking in the warm sun at the ceremony and bundling up as the bay breeze washed over us in the evening. This day couldn't have been more perfect, I wish Jonathan and Megan a lifetime of happiness and endless love. You may recognize this dress from yesterday's post, there is a part 2! After we finished up at the storage unit we went to a friends private property to finish up our shoot with a concept completely opposite of the colorful and bright storage unit part 1. I was going for a woodland high fashion vogue style concept. Let me know in the comments if you believe I achieved that!
I believe it's very important as a photographer to take time to do a photoshoot just for you, to spark your creativity. Believe me, I love more than anything when my clients give me complete creative control and let me express these epic ideas in my head, but it doesn't always happen and its completely fine. That's why I put together this photoshoot- for this red dress! I was out running errands with my boyfriend when we passed by this storage unit building and I just knew this was THE location for THE red dress.
This was so much fun to shoot, I got to spend the afternoon with my amazingly talented friend who is also named Katie creating beautiful images together! Location: Peachtree Industrial Self Storage (Thank you to the owner for letting us shoot there) Dress: Jovani Hair & Makeup: Katie Coon (Yours Truly <3) This dress is still available to my clients if they want to use it, it's a true size 0. |
